The Red Rose
There is a rose growing deep inside of who you are,
a red rose.
The sun shines through a crack in the petals
calling and coaxing it to bloom
As the shaft of light falls across the bud,
the red rose shutters,
and responds by drinking in the warmth.
One tiny flicker of movement indicates its intention,
and it begins to unfold its petals.
The tiny bud unfurls its Beauty.
It sighs,
and feels Loved.
All is well, and as it should be.
Did you know that you are the rose,
as well as, the sun?
